Exterior Overview
Front View: The device has
a very minimalist approach to it and is pretty light weight. The body is
completely finished in aluminium. Overall the look is very professional and
built quality is certainly on the premium segment, the mat-finish certainly enhances
the looks. The flip also houses the 'Dell' branding, which is subtle and look
very elegant.
Front View |
Rear View: On the rear the same build is carried on, which
houses an air-vent which allows air-intake along with a fan which provides
extra cooling to the system. There is also rubber padding which helps the
laptop taking in adequate air.
The lid of the laptop cannot be opened with one hand.

weighs in about 1.87 Kgs.

Interior
Overview
Screen & webcam: The lid opens to reveal a 16-inch
display surrounded by narrow bezels on all sides . Overall the hinge is pretty good
and sturdy. The Dell Inspiron 16 (5620) is also equipped with a all new 1080p
webcam with a physical shutter which is quite impressive
and the microphone also performs very good.
Interior Overview |
Keyboard &
Trackpad: The same build is also continued within, beneath the display there
is the chicklet style keyboard which has pretty satisfying
typing experience with backlight enabled. There is no
keyboard flex and overall pretty well built.
The trackpad is also large and the experience is also pretty good and also
supports every windows gesture.
The power button also houses the fingerprint reader which
is very fast and works flawlessly every time.
Display,
Sound & Software
Display: The laptop
comes with a 16-inch Full HD+ display (1920 x 1200p) WVA panel()
display with 45% NTSC. The brightness is also decent enough which
is 250 nits and having almost 82% screen to body ratio.
Overall the display is decent enough in real life usage but the maximum
brightness can be a disadvantage in outdoor usage.
Sound: The laptop is paired with a pair of front-firing speakers which do
produce very good and loud sound.
Software: The laptop also comes
pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home with lifetime validity,
pre-installed Office Home and Student 2021.
Performance
We have tested the benchmarks and here are the results:
1. CINEBENCH
R23:
2. GEEKBENCH 5:
3. PC Mark 10:
The laptop was with us for a few days and we have tested the performance
in-depth. Overall in normal usage it just flies. We also ran a few of the games
which was certainly playable but not quiet enjoyable. We also tested photoshop
and video editing and it can very easily breeze through it. The Dell Inspiron
16(5620) can handle any kind of photoshop editing and 1080p
video editing pretty smoothly. You can also do any 2-D
Auto-cad easily and also any kind of coding.
Verdict
The laptop is in the range of Rs 65,000 - 70,000. For the
price is offers pretty impressive performance and also unbeatable build quality
at the segment. Overall the laptop is providing a pretty balanced package. I can recommend this
laptop without any hesitation, if you are looking for a pretty balanced
laptop JUST GO FOR it.
