Exterior Overview:

The laptop is on the premium side and it is very evident just by holding it. The entire body is made up of  aluminium and the build quality is exceptionally brilliant. The design is very minimalist and hence very professional. On the lid there lies the Apple logo and on the rear side there are just rubber pads which provide the laptop a good grip.

Ports available

Ports available:

The port selection is one of the biggest drawbacks. The laptop just houses 2 Type-c ports  on the left side.

Interior Overview:

The same design language  is also continued inside as well. The material used is aluminium same as  the exterior and built quality is just the same. There is not a single bit of flex or cheap feeling material in the laptop. The screen is also a big plus point which we will be discussing in a while. The new model get the old keyboard in place of the butterfly keyboard which is hated by all. This keyboard is much better and also is backlit. The backlight is adjustable but through software  don't have any physical button which is a bit weird but can be solved by an update. The keyboard is also not a full-sized one because of it's size.

There is also a huge trackpad present and is perfectly placed. The trackpad is great and support all the gestures. Besides these there is also the speaker grilles and on the both sides of the keyboard and the sound output is excellent. The macbook also houses a 720p HD webcam which is certainly and improved version of there previous models but certainly not the best. The microphone quality is also decent enough there is absolutely no complain.

Display & Software:

The macbook air is fitted with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with an IPS technology. The resolution is 2560x1600  and has about 227 pixels per inch density. The display is also  P3 Colour accurate and is great for professional video or photo editing. The display is also  bright enough foor outdoor usage and can go upto 400 nits. Everything feels very fresh but the bezels are on the  thicker side which is certainly not a deal-breaker but could have been improved.

The MackBook runs on macOS Big Sur and works brilliantly. The laptop can run iphone and ipad apps which is very useful to many. The OS is so optimised with the chipset that it handles the most extreme apps smoothly.

Performance:

This time Apple used their own M1 chip  and the performance is exceptional. This M1 is a 8-core  CPU which have 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores and also 16-core Neural engine. This mackbook Air can run even the  most heaviest apps and softwares smoothly. The clock speed is not known typically Apple things, but the overall usage is more than enough for almost 95% people.

Powered by M1 chip

This Macbook Air surprised us during a video render test where it destroyed the Macbook pro core i9 model. There is a few compatibility issues which will be solved eventuallly. Except this there is nothing to complain about in this laptop.

Verdict:

This macbook air starts from around 85,000 and is certainly on the premium category. This laptop is no doubt the most value for money device,  no laptop can match the crazy performance of this thing. The persons willing to buy their first macbook can just go ahead and buy it and for whom who want to upgrade especially professionals just see whether the applications or softwares used, are supported as of now. Leaving the compatible thing aside this is the best laptop one can buy at the price and also can give more expensive laptops a very hard competition.

Compatible apps and softwares: Is Apple Silicon ready?
