Overview

Build & Design: The Sony WH-CH710N headphone is completely made up of plastic while the build quality is decent enough but the scratchy plastic do hamper the premium feeling. Over all build is  quite good. The headphones have physical buttons for all controls and is very easy to use. The ear-padding is also pretty good and doesn't feel uncomfortable over long periods.

Microphone: The microphone quality is good enough for calling, the other party never complained.

Battery Life: The battery life is superb and lasts almost about 30-40hours in a single charge

Bluetooth Version & Range: The Bluetooth version is not mentioned by the manufacturer but the range is super impressive. In that area Sony did surprise me.

Comfort: The Sony WH-CH710N weighs in about 230gms and along with the weight, the extra-padding around the ear and over the head makes it very comfortable over longer periods of listening.

Special Feature:

  • The headphones packs in Active Noise Cancellation(ANC) which is not works pretty good. Don't expect it to completely cut off all sounds but cancel out most of the sounds.
  • It also comes with a 3.5mm cable for wired usage as well for lag-free gaming experience.

Sound Quality

The Sony WH-CH710N have a balanced sound. There is a base whenever required and also overall the instruments separations, lows and loudness are also quite good. Overall the sound quality and overall performance is quite impressive in gaming as well as in normal day to day use like watching movies, listening to music, etc. The overall experience could have been a bit better considering the premium paid for it.

Verdict

The headphones ranges around Rs 10,000 and considering the price the product offers decent value for money. If ANC is a very high priority along with battery life then just go for  it, if it is under Rs 10,000. I would not suggest it above that because if you can push your budget a bit you can get much better headsets with greater experience.
