Physical Overview

Design: The all new 2021 iPad 9th generation is fully finished in aluminium and definitely justifies the bulky price tag. The iPad houses the Power and 3.5mm headphone jack on the Top along with the Volume buttons on the Right side followed by Two speakers and a Lightning port at the Bottom. The iPad houses a 8MP back camera and the "Apple Logo" at the rear and on the front side comes with a 12MP front camera and also the fingerprint sensor for Touch id which works brilliantly. Overall the iPad feels premium and justifies its price.

Weight: The weight ranges from 487grams - 498grams depending on the variants you choose. The weight is fairly manageable is day to day usage.

Display & Software

Display: The iPad 9th gen comes with a 10.2-inch Retina display which is an IPS panel. The iPad also have a screen resolution of Full HD+  and is a good quality display, and is also a True Tone technology. It has a peak brightness of about 500nits and can be used outdoors. Sadly this iPad comes with a just 60Hz refresh rate screen but the overall performance is quite impressive but you will certainly miss the higher refresh rates. Overall this  is a very good display and display should not be a deal-breaker.

Software: The iPad comes out of the box with iPad OS-15 and is feature packed. The iPad is just way ahead in software and it's optimisation and can easily compete high-end android tablets. The OS supports various iPhone apps and is brilliantly integrated with other apple devices. There are a few apps tweaked for the iPad itself and they also work flawlessly. It also supports Apple Pencil Gen-1for a better experience. Overall the best in terms of software performance.
 

Sound, Battery & Camera

Sound: The iPad comes with a stereo speakers setup with two speakers at the bottom and the quality of sound is certainly very impressive. The speakers have adequate loudness and also base whenever required. Overall the best speakers in the range.

Camera & microphone: The iPad houses a 8MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. The rear camera is decent enough to use  normally  but is certainly lags behind along with it the lack of flash module is also a major drawback. On the other hand the 12MP front camera is not only better but also is much wide and also comes with "Center Stage" (the camera adjusts itself with the movement of the subject). Overall the performance of the cameras are decent and you won't regret. 
The microphone is also improved and is performs very well.  

Battery: The iPad comes paired with a 8500 Whr battery and with a 20Watt charger and the battery life and charging is pretty impressive. One can get almost 6-8hours of screen on time depending on the usage and can also increase depending on the usage.

Gaming Performance: The iPad have been tested with various demanding games and they all ran smoothly and also the speaker output also enhanced the overall experience. If you want to play games then it can easily handle it.

Overall performance:  The iPad is paired with the A13 bionic chipset and the performance is just buttery smooth. You throw anything and it can handle it. The performance this chipset will provide is just out of the world and can easily be compared with more premium tablets. Overall it is a beast of performer.  

Verdict

The all new 9thGen iPad starts around Rs 30,000 (may vary) and is certainly on the premium side. Overall it is a beast of a machine and can handle every task given to it. The tablet is mainly for professionals who is looking  for a powerful device. Overall the tablet is certainly good and if it satisfies your requirements go for it. I guarantee you will not regret the purchase.
