Exterior Overview

Front View: The new MacBook Pro is completely finished in metal and the build quality is very premium. There is a big "APPLE LOGO" at the centre. There is no top lid flex as expected and also the overall Matt finish adds up to the overall premiumness. Overall this time around the edges have been more squared off and thick to pack in more ports and larger battery.

                                 

Rear View: The same design language is carried over at the rear. The rear houses 4 rubber tips for better grip while using over a surface. The is also a "MACBOOK PRO" engraving at the rear on the metal which is the attention to detail for this product.

This time around Apple moved backwards and have added ports which were previously missing.

Weight: The all new 16-inch MacBook Pro, M1-Max weighs around 2.2kgs.       

Interior Overview

Screen & Webcam: The flip rises to reveal the rather controversial design, the "NOTCH- Design". The bezels have been even reduced further on all the sides along with a 16-inch Mini-LED display and a Notch at the centre of the upper side. The notch houses a 1080p webcam along with an ambient sensor and a light. There is no FACE-ID in the notch. 


                                    

Keyboard & Trackpad: The all new MacBook Pros comes with magic keyboard in a sort of anodised  black island design. This time around the touch-bar have been removed completely with physical buttons. Just like the previous 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro this time also the touch-id is integrated in the keyboard. Below the keyboard is the huge trackpad which is just amazing to use as usual. If you have any experience of macbooks before then you know the quality and if not then just try it, it is certainly one of the best keyboard and trackpad. 

Speakers: The MacBook Pro is fitted with a set of dual front-firing speakers and the speakers are the best on any laptop. There is both adequate loudness and fullness. The speakers also comes fitted with four-force cancelling woofers for deeper base. Hands-down "The Best Speaker" system. 

Display & Software

Display-  The 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a resolution of 3456x2234. The display also supports adaptive Pro-Motion of 120Hz, i.e. it can self-change it's refresh rate according to the task performed and works pretty well. The display panel is a 99% sRGB and 83% ARGB certified which can even go upto a 1600nits peak brightness. Overall one of the best displays in the business.

Software- The laptop comes with MacOS 12 Monterey. As usual it works brilliant and flawless across the Apple Ecosytem. The laptop can run iphone and ipad apps which is very useful to many. If you are into the ecosystem nothing can match the experience. 

Performance

Bench marks:

Taking about just synthetic Bench-Marks, the laptop scores :
1. Cinebench R23- Single-Core-1521
                               Multi-Core-12,380
2. Geekbench 5- Single-Core-1788
                             Multi-Core-12,806
Highest recorded Bench-Marks on any laptop. 

Overall Performance: The above Bench-Mark results are quite evident about the sheer performance of the laptop, you throw any task at it and it will just crush it. It is a beast performer and even excels in Apple specific applications. Overall the performance is top notch for anything and everything.

  

Battery life: The 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 100Wh battery and it easily lasts for almost 11-15 hours on a single charge depending upon the tasks performed.

Verdict

Laptops overall are nothing but tools to make some tasks done. This all new 16-inch MacBook Pro is also no different. The price starts off for the M1 Max model is 3L Plus

so certainly on the expensive side. The product is certainly one of the best in the current market and if you go for it there will be no complains about anything. If you really think you need this product then just go for it, absolutely worth it.
