Exterior Overview
Front View: The device has a very minimalist approach to it and is pretty light weight. The body is completely finished in plastic. Overall the look is very professional and doesn't feel cheap, built quality is certainly on the premium side, the mat-finish certainly enhances the looks. The flip also houses a 'ASUS Vivobook' branding, which is subtle yet elegant .
Rear View: On the rear the same build is carried on, which houses an air-vent which allows air-intake along with a fan which provides extra cooling to the system. There is also rubber padding which helps the laptop taking in adequate air.

Interior Overview
Screen & webcam: The lid opens to reveal a 15.6-inch display surrounded by narrow bezels on all sides while the bottom bezel houses the branding. Overall the hinge is decent but there is a bit of wobble while typing fast(pretty minor).
The Vivobook 2022 is also equipped with a 720p webcam with a physical shutter which is decent enough and the microphone also performs similar to others in this range.
Keyboard & Trackpad layout |
Keyboard & Trackpad: The same build is also continued within, beneath the display there is the chicklet style full-sized keyboard which has decent typing experience with no backlight enabled. There is a bit of keyboard flex but overall pretty well built
The trackpad is also decent in size and the experience is also pretty good and also supports every windows gesture. The trackpad also houses the fingerprint which is very fast and works flawlessly every time. Just above the keyboard there is the speaker grille which has decent sound output.
Display, Sound & Software
Sound: The down-firing speakers do produce decent sound as expected but nothing special or overwhelming.
Performance
The laptop is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1240P which has a top clock-speed of-4.4 GHz. It also has 12 cores and 16 threads architecture. We also used the device for a few days and it can very easily handle simple tasks like web- browsing and also is benefited by the 8 GB of memory. Overall in normal usage it just flies. We also ran a few of the games which was certainly playable but not quiet enjoyable. We also tested photoshop and video editing and it can very easily breeze through it. The Asus Vivobook can handle any kind of photoshop editing and 1080p video editing is also pretty smooth. You can also do basic 2-D Auto-cad easily so college students can check it.
Verdict
The laptop is in the range of Rs 55,000-60,000, link of the best deal is given below. For the price is offers decent value for money the only drawbacks is the lack of IPS display and backlit keyboard.
But it have plenty of good stuffs to make up for it like the performance is very smooth , the overall feel and build is also pretty impressive. Overall the laptop is certainly quite value for money.
