Overview

Build and design: The neckband is made up of plastic and rubber and the overall build is pretty good. Moreover the buds are made up of metal and also have sensors for play and pause music using magnets which works pretty accurately. The wire quality is also pretty impressive.

Microphone: The microphone quality is certainly not the best but can get the job done. It is comes with ENC(Environment Noise Cancellation) and the overall experience is ok considering the price.

Comfort: The plastic and rubber combination makes the neckband pretty comfortable to use over longer sessions and the ear buds and tips also adds up to the overall experience.

Battery Life: Battery life is something which is very important for these products and this Wings Phantom 205 neckband just excels in that department. It can easily last 40+ hours in a single charge.

Bluetooth version and Range: The improved bluetooth-5.3 is pretty stable and the range is also pretty good you won't feel nay kind of range and disconnection issues. The pairing process is also pretty fast and easy.

Sound Quality & Gaming Test

Sound Output: The most important aspect of any audio device is the sound output, Wings Phantom 205 does a pretty good job in that aspect. We have tested it for almost 1 week and the sound output is pretty impressive. The neckband produces a pretty balanced sound. The base, highs and mid-tones are also quite enjoyable. Overall the experience is certainly not the worst neither the best, overall a balanced sound signature.

Gaming Experience: The Wings Phantom 205 is a gaming specific neckband and in our usage it performed decently. After a lot of tests, it is clear that for casual gaming it is ok but for hardcore gaming prefer wired alternatives. The band lacks in stereo separation and also the highs are not so clear but except that it is quite  good. The band have a latency of 40mm second but in real life it seems a bit more. If you are not a serious gamer it will get the job done.

Verdict

The Wings Phantom 205 is priced at Rs 1500, considering the price the headphones seems to be a pretty impressive package. The touch and feel is on the premium side along with the balanced sound signature. The unique low latency mode, touch controls, sensors, ENC and also the amazing battery life just makes it unique in it's range. I would highly recommend the product for normal usage or casual gaming. The headphone is also having an introductory price of Rs 1299 and that makes the  product even more attractive and value for money.
